At Marton Care Homes, we believe in providing more than just care—we provide a sense of belonging, respect, and appreciation for those who have served in the Armed Forces. That’s why we’re proud to be recognised as a Veteran Friendly Care Home, ensuring that ex-service personnel receive tailored support that acknowledges their unique experiences.
What Is a Veteran Friendly Care Home?
A Veteran Friendly Care Home is a facility that understands and supports the needs of former service personnel. Through the Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF), we provide:
- ✅ Specialist Care: Staff trained to understand the specific needs of veterans, including PTSD, physical injuries, and emotional well-being.
- ✅ A Community of Camaraderie: Creating connections between veteran residents, staff, and visiting organisations.
- ✅ Meaningful Activities: Events and projects tailored to veterans, including Armed Forces Day celebrations, Remembrance services, and social activities with local cadet groups.
Supporting Veterans Beyond Care
At Marton Care Homes, we go beyond traditional care by working with veterans’ charities and support networks to provide additional resources. Whether it’s access to financial aid, mental health services, or simply a space to share experiences, we ensure that every veteran in our care has the support they deserve.
As part of our commitment, we’re also proud to have received the Bronze Award in the Employer Recognition Scheme, recognising our ongoing efforts to support and employ members of the Armed Forces community.
